This evening Paultons Park dropped a very cool trailer on Halloween night for the upcoming Ghostly Manor dark ride set to open at the Southampton-based theme park on May 17th, 2025.
Ghostly Manor is set to introduce guests to a brand new world’s first ride system called the Gameplay Theatre designed by Mack Rides. This unique ride system works on a turntable that rotates between physical sets and screens as guests use blasters to zap the ghosts within the haunted halls of Dr. Kinley’s manor.
Marketing and Technology director Lawrence Mancey shared a sneak peek inside the building with a construction update of the gameplay theatre construction taking place as the circle shape of the ride system is taking place. A pre-show has also been confirmed as we no doubt explore the beautiful manor in some walkthrough detail before taking our seats on the ride itself.
The story revolves around the doc, a dedicated ghost hunter who embarks on a mission to find the elusive ice ghost in the North Pole. Whilst he is away visitors are asked to explore his manor packed full of haunted artefacts but the ghosts he has captured over the years escape and it’s now down to you to recapture the freed spirits.

Ghostly Manor is a new immersive indoor attraction set to open in May 2025. The ride follows the adventures of Dr. Kinley, a ghost hunter. Dr. Kinley is at the North Pole on a quest to find the elusive ice ghost. In his absence, he has invited guests to explore his manor, which houses a unique exhibition of apparatus and haunted artifacts.
However, during your visit, many of the ghosts that Dr. Kinley has captured over the years have escaped. He urgently needs your help to recapture them. Armed with the groundbreaking phantom phaser, you will need to shoot the ghosts lurking throughout the manor to secure them once more. Keep an eye out for Ohjee, the most fearsome ghost in the manor. Recapturing him will require all your skill and teamwork!
The ride will pay homage to Paultons Manor which once stood in the gardens at Paultons Park. This beautifully crafted manor will follow the high levels of theming and immersion that Paultons Park prides itself upon.
Once open I am very confident in saying that Paultons Park will be one of the best themed indoor dark rides in the country. This is Paultons Park’s first dark ride and they will want it to be a statement piece that will stand head and shoulders above the rest of the dark ride offerings here in the UK.
