Universal Studios Hollywood reveals a first look rendering of “Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift,” the destination’s first high-speed outdoor roller coaster opening in 2026

Today Universal announced that the upcoming Fast & Furious Hollywood Drift coaster will be the faster rollercoaster in the company’s portfolio clocking a staggering 72mph!

The theme park revealed a first look at the coaster rendering (see above) along with an animated video showcasing some of the cool elements of this Fast & Furious themed experience.

Construction is ongoing on this Intamin designed coaster as guests will go on a unique adventure that will feature 360 degree rotating cars along 4,100 feet of track.

The fully rotational ride vehicles will create a seamless sensation of drifting cars as guests spin in motion at furiously  fast speeds while being catapulted along an aerial track that winds its way over sections of the theme park, including the multi-level escalator that connects the Upper and Lower Lots.

The queue will see guests go through a garage-like structure before settling into one of four ride vehicles designed to look like iconic cars from the film including the beautiful Veilside body kit orange Mazda featured in Fast & Furious: Tokyo Drift.
