Pleasure Beach Resort Hints at Aviktas Ride Lore

Pleasure Beach Resort has today dropped its firs big hint about what fans can expect from their upcoming Intamin Gyroswing ride costing £8.72M.

Named Aviktas the video showcases a potential theme and storyline for the ride which will be the tallest ride of its kind in the UK the second it’s built.

The video shows diggers at a construction site unearthing an unusual golden egg in the sand that has hatched, suggesting a creature has recently hatched.

The cracked egg is inspected and artwork around the construction site hoardings depict a golden snake with the title of the ride AVIKTAS across the hoardings.

Pleasure Beach are seemingly making more of an effort to drive home a storyline for this particular ride and it’s nice to see them going above and beyond in delivering the new storyline for this particular ride.

With how much effort is going into the new rides promotion I feel as though it will be a highly themed experience which will be a welcomed addition the the Pleasure Beach skyline.

Their most recently refurbished ride Launch Pad had more theming elements to it with a clean design that promoted the shot-tower model so maybe Pleasure Beach are going one step further with Aviktas. Will we get our first themed queue-line at the resort of a more stylised version to keep in line with other attractions at the resort?

We shall just have to wait and see as the park have said there are more teasers to come!

Amanda Thompson OBE, CEO of Pleasure Beach Resort, said:

“Aviktas has already created a huge buzz, and that’s exactly the intention. These teases are part of a much bigger adventure, and there will be plenty more secrets to uncover.

We want guests to feel that intrigue and anticipation long before they take their seat on the ride, and the excitement will only grow as we head towards opening next year.

Eagle-eyed fans might even begin to spot more clues seeded throughout the park over the coming weeks and months, including at events.”

Although other swinging pendulum rides exist in the UK, none come close to the Pleasure Beach model in terms of height. For example, Drayton Manor’s Maelstrom reaches approximately 74 feet, with Aviktas set to be almost double that in size.

Aviktas will open in 2026 and construction work is now well underway.
