AVIKTAS Testing at Pleasure Beach Resort

Today is the day that the UK’s tallest gyroswing began its testing phase as passers-by saw the towering ride swinging back and forth along the Pleasure Beach skyline.

This giant gyroswing ride will take riders 138ft at full swing and is the perfect addition to Pleasure Beach Resort as this Intamin ride will certainly push the boundaries of thrill-seeking with nothing else keeping you in your seat other than a lap bar.

A UK’s first Intamin gyroswing and the tallest gyroswing the country began its testing phase today as it prepares for its 2026 opening date.

A VIP preview event has been planned where guests can pay to ride before the press and the public (park tickets included) which is certainly going to be a fan-favourite when it opens I just hope staff keep an eye out for sneaky fans wearing meta glasses and cameras to scoop that almighty POV / content exclusive.

Amanda Thompson had the following to say about the ride:

This record-breaking attraction will transform both our skyline and the thrill-factor for 2026. Seeing its arrival has been a real moment of pride for everyone here at Pleasure Beach; we see the arrival of Aviktas as a statement of our commitment to creating unforgettable experiences, and keeping Blackpool at the heart of UK tourism

Footage was kindly sent to us from passers-by during the testing phase and that can be seen below, I’ve also attached the official footage posted by the park along with a snippet of the AVIKTAS soundtrack within this article.
