Stealth at Thorpe Park officially turns 20 years old this year as the ride had a little birthday celebration ahead of the 2026 season.
Abseilers ascended to the top of the ride soaring 205ft in the air while completing maintenance work ahead of the parks official opening on Friday 27th March.
At the top of Stealth they had a little birthday party in the sky along with birthday hats and even a cake.
Since opening in March 2006, Stealth has become a fan favourite for adrenaline-seekers, famous for blasting riders from 0–80mph in under two seconds. And even after 20 years, the iconic coaster remains record-breaking, currently holding the title for fastest acceleration of a rollercoaster, reaching its top speed quicker than any other ride in the world.
The celebrations won’t just be happening in the air. To share the birthday excitement with visitors, the first 20 guests that share the same birthday month and year (March 2006)as the rollercoaster, will receive a free Stealth Fastrack pass, giving them the chance to ride the record-breaking coaster in true VIP style (Ts&Cs apply).
