
Saturday 4th April sees Parc Astérix open for the 2026 season and instantly launching guests straight into the heart of Egypt as the zone has expanded and undergone a transformation over the winter season.
The Descent of the Nile, the Flying Chairs become The Flight of Ibis, and many surprises await young and old alike at every turn. Guided by Cleopatra and the Egyptian gods, visitors will immerse themselves in an adventure combining thrills, discoveries and total immersion.
To mark its reopening, the park is offering exclusive deals, including free tickets for children, so that everyone can enjoy all the new attractions to the fullest.

ANCIENT EGYPT AS YOU’VE NEVER SEEN IT BEFORE
For the 2026 season, Parc Astérix is reinventing its Egypt zone, offering a total immersion experience where Cleopatra and the Egyptian gods look after every single guest. With spectacular decorations, revamped attractions and new experiences, visitors of all ages are invited to dive into a fascinating world where legends and adventures come to life around the Place du Nil.
● The Descent of the Nile: formerly known as the Oxygénarium, this attraction has been completely redesigned. With its brand-new decor, themed waiting line and unique thrills, it offers a real cruise down the River Nile, under the watchful eye of the Egyptian gods. Young and old alike will be swept away by this spectacular water ride in the heart of Egypt.
● The Flight of Ibis: The Flying Chairs have been transformed into The Flight of Ibis. Ten metres above the ground, visitors swoop over a lush water garden. Water jets, greenery and themed decor make for a thrilling flight. A light-hearted and invigorating family adventure.
● Épidemaïs’ Counter: This new buffet restaurant offers a variety of Middle Eastern flavours in a themed setting. It’s the perfect place to refuel before setting off to explore the mysteries of Cleopatra and the Egyptian gods. (Opening in June)
● New show: Cleopatra’s Gift returns with a brand-new production. Cleopatra and her courtesans bring the OzIris esplanade to life on a whole new stage. Dance, music and interaction with visitors make each performance a vibrant and immersive experience. (Opening in spring)
