In 2027, the Fairy Tale Library will open as the 32nd fairytale in the Fairytale Forest will be introduced.
The area around The Chinese Nightingale in the Fairytale Forest is being changed, and the 32nd fairytale is coming to life. The Fairytale Library will be featured within a nine-metre high building and for the first time today the park is telling visitors what the experience will be like within the library.
The library will be housed with silent gnomes. A passionate and dedicated bunch who serve to keep the library quiet so everyone can read and explore without being disturbed.
This gnome makes sure that this peaceful atmosphere is maintained.
Designer Jeroen Verheij shares details about the new fairy tale:
“In the Fairy Tale Library, you’ll soon see all the books full of stories that the Fairy Tale Collector has gathered during his travels. You’ll also meet seven hardworking dwarfs who, over the years, have traveled from every corner of the world with the Fairy Tale Collector. They keep the Fairy Tale Library tidy, cozy and as complete as possible, because the Fairy Tale Collector is often out and about.”
There’s a whole lot happening in the Fairytale Forest with Site manager Koen Hellings discussing the construction:
Hidden among the trees of the Fairytale Forest, a grand library is rising on a very small construction site. The location, close to where The Chinese Nightingale used to be, is beautiful of course, but it does bring some challenges. Everything has to fit just right. By now, the foundation is in place and we’re building up about nine meters high. The frame is up already! We’re building under the watchful eye of the Fairytale Collector. Every now and then, he drops by to check if we’re still on track.
