Waterworld Stoke Issue Statement As The Park Is Still Unable to Reopen

Waterworld Stoke

Waterworld Stoke are still unable to open their indoor water park as per government guidelines and a statement has been released Chairman and CEO, Mo Chaudry updating guests on the current situation.

In what feels like a very frustating time for Waterworld Stoke the statement says the following:

Following the recent government announcement, we are hugely disappointed that Waterworld is still unable to reopen, unlike many other tourist attractions. We are confused and frustrated by this decision.

Here is some evidence that supports our claim that Waterworld Stoke can provide a safe and compliant environment:

1. The coronavirus doesn’t survive in chlorinated water” according to infectious disease expert Amesh A. Adalja MD, Senior Scholar at the Johns Hopkins Centre for Health Security in Maryland. The Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) state that there is no evidence that the coronavirus spreads through water in pools (or hot tubs, spas or water play areas).

2. The use of Ozone gas has been proven to kill SARS Coronavirus

3. We have hand sanitising points strategically placed within the venue.

4. Our designated team of ‘hygiene busters’ will be on hand, using anti-viral sprays on all surfaces including lockers. These sprays have been specifically formulated to combat COVID-19

5. Our air handling system in Waterworld provides highly effective and hygienic airflow control.

6. Our facility is a large-scale arena of 75,000 sq ft, which allows ample space for social distancing compared with smaller attractions.

7. We are one of only a small number of water parks that have an extensive, chemically -treated outdoor pool and outdoor lounging areas; the outdoors being the safest environment of all.

8. We will cap visitor numbers at 40% of our normal capacity to provide additional space for customers to relax in our tropical environment and continue to enjoy the extensive range of amazing rides and features that we have on offer.

9. We have invested substantial resources to prepare our attraction for the ‘new normal’…

10. We have implemented a one-way system, new online booking procedures and stricter session controls.

11. We have installed Perspex barriers at relevant points and provide PPE for all staff members who require it.

12. We have employed an even larger team of cleaners and pool attendants.

13. We will carry out pre-entry temperature checks for all staff and visitors to ensure that nobody with a fever enters the facility.

We have worked tirelessly to introduce these key measures (and many more) to ensure that we can continue to offer truly memorable experiences at Waterworld without compromising the safety and wellbeing of our guests or staff. As soon as we are given the green light, we are ready to welcome you for a great day out, for the whole family, whatever the weather!
