Costing over £30 million Gulliver’s Valley Theme Park will be opening for the first time this summer.
This new Rotherham site will be the fourth Gulliver’s Theme Park and after a delay because of lockdown the park is now back on track to open once again.
Numerous safety measures are being put into place just like other UK theme parks including temperature checks, advanced booking, contactless payment, an online system for ordering food and social distancing markers.

Julie Dalton, managing director of the family-run Gulliver’s Theme Park Resorts, said:
We are so excited to be finally opening Gulliver’s Valley to the public. The last few months have been tough to say the least – when we started work on the park, we didn’t ever expect to be faced with a global pandemic, but I am proud to say our team has risen to the challenge and worked hard to enable us to open, just one month later than we initially planned.
Of course, the health and wellbeing of our visitors and our employees really is top priority and so we have made a number of changes to the park to reflect this, so that everyone feels comfortable and reassured whilst enjoying a fun and enjoyable day out.
The park will be running at a capped capacity and some indoor sections of the park will remain closed.

It is said that a family wooden roller coaster will be coming to the site in the future but currently there are a few rides already raring to go.
Rides such as a Lost World River Tour, a mine-train style children’s ride, a children’s drop tower, a swinging ship called the Ghostly Galleon, a Ferris wheel, carousel and more.
