Legoland Windsor Resort announced that their new land set to open in 2021 will be named LEGO Mythica.
This brand new expansion will revolve around mythical creatures and will be the parks biggest investment yet.
This ice-themed expansion will feature new rides, attractions and experiences, including a never-before-seen UK ride which will be a flying cinema similar to LEGOLAND parks overseas.
With us now knowing the flying cinema being mythical creature themed we may just be taking a ride on a dragon or similar through the lands.
Now what an experience that would be!
Two family drop towers and a retheming of the parks current ride Squid Surfer also look to be taking place.
The land will be situated between Heartlake City and the LEGO hotels.
Legoland Windsor worked in partnership with Kids Industries on Lego Mythica, spending a year discussing and testing ideas and concepts with children aged between 7 and 11.
Thomas Jellum, divisional director at Legoland Windsor Resort said:
“What better way to celebrate our 25th birthday than by unveiling a completely unique experience like nothing else we have launched at the resort since we opened,”
“At the heart of Lego Mythica: World of Mythical Creatures will be epic rides, including a UK first, and breath-taking mythical creatures designed to capture children’s imaginations and inspire them to build and play.
“Our new land has been two years in the making and co-created with families to make sure it delivers what children and their parents want from a theme park in 2021. We can’t wait to share more details soon.”
The area is currently under construction at the park with a Spring 2021 opening date estimated.
