The only time i’ve ever been to Silverstone was a spontaneous trip to the circuit after doing an event nearby. We were the only people at the circuit other than the drivers but after a walk of the track there wasn’t anything else to do. With the addition of The Silverstone Experience that all changes.
Set inside a refurbished RAF hangar this new museum experience will house the articles of the British Racing Drivers Club and Formula One memorabilia.Visitors can come and change a tyre on an F1 car, pilot a Wellington bomber plane and learn about the inner workings of modern day racing.
Seven years in the making the attraction is now open to the general public. It will be open all year round and has free on-site parking, a cafe and a gift shop.
