Six Flags Qiddiya City logo

Six Flags Qiddiya City is one of the most ambitious theme park projects the world has ever seen and with a price tag estimated to be around $1 billion, we have a good idea of the quality that a project like this will bring as Saudi Arabia plans to be a thrill capital of the world.

Construction is taking place at a breathtaking speed and many of the coasters that are set to feature at the park have now been constructed and with the project now over 75% completed Six Flags Qiddiya City is well on target for a 2025 completion date.

Eight roller coasters are set to inhabit Six Flags Qiddiya City and in this very article, we’ll be going over each particular coaster one by one within this exciting and groundbreaking project.

So let’s get started then shall we?

Twilight Express

Twilight Gardens Six Flags qiddiya city

A fun-filled roller-coaster adventure, that starts as the ladybug takes her first flight to search for her favourite food! She reaches a cluster of field flowers where she meets a butterfly sitting on a brightly coloured flower. At night the butterfly and flowers are illuminated, giving the area a magical and warm glow.

This family-friendly ride manufactured by Vekoma is the perfect introductory ride for all the family at Six Flags Qiddiya City with a maximum height of 41ft.

Twilight Express will be one of the more tame rollercoasters at Six Flags Qiddiya City but in a vibrant themed environment, guests certainly won’t be short of immersive theming.

Adrena-Line

Adrena Line Qiddiya

Located in the City of Thrills, Adrena-Line is a steel suspended rollercoaster manufactured by Vekoma and with a height of 65.6ft (equivalent to a six-storey building) this particular ride is more of the family-friendly lineup within the Six Flags Qiddiya City range.

There are no inversions on Adrena-Line and the track length (1620.7ft) is equivalent to the height of the Eiffel Tower.

Reaching a top speed of 44.7mph this is just one of many exciting rides coming to Six Flags Qiddiya City, a real thrillseekers paradise.

Whilst construction is far from finished on the theming you can see the layout of this incredible ride including a section where it goes through a tunnel and out the other side. It looks great fun!

Colossus

This Great Coasters International wooden rollercoaster is equipped with Infinity Flyer trains and is set to become a firm favourite at Six Flags Qiddiya City.

Located in the Grand Exposition area of the park Colossus will reach 94.5ft in height and will hit a top speed of 50.2mph racing around 2918.6ft of track equivalent to eight football fields.

I’m intrigued by the maintenance of Colossus in desert conditions being a wooden coaster but this looks like one absolute beast of a wooden rollercoaster and I cannot wait to see it in action when Six Flags Qiddiya City opens to the public.

Falcons Flight

The superstar of this already rather stellar line-up Falcon’s Flight is set to be the world’s tallest, longest and fastest rollercoaster manufactured by Intamin.

Reaching a height of 639.8ft Falcons Flight reaches a total track length of 13,943.6ft and will reach a maximum top speed of 155.3mph.

Falcon's Flight IAAPA

Falcons Flight will be classified as an EXA coaster, the only one of its kind which is a rollercoaster that exceeds 600ft in size.

Whilst this particular ride will take guests around the entire park at a length of around 5 Burj Khalifa’s it is the staplepoint of the park and the one ride that enthusiasts across the globe are fascinated by. This is easily one of the most iconic rollercoasters at Six Flags Qiddiya City.

With a built-in windshield on each train, guests will not need to wear goggles as is the case with Formula Rossa at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi (the world’s fastest rollercoaster currently).

Maintenance of this ride will certainly be tricky due to its sheer size and scale but if there’s one manufacturer to tackle this masterpiece of engineering it’s Intamin, they’ve already made the world’s fastest ride and are at the top of their game. I absolutely cannot wait to see this fascinating piece of kit in motion!

Iron Rattler

Iron Rattler will be Vekoma’s first ever hyper tilt coaster standing at 208ft and will only be the second Vekoma tilt coaster in existence.

With 5 inversions this ride will be located within Steam Town which is an area of the park with a steampunk vibe. A land of gears, contraptions and whimsical thrills for the whole family dreamed up by chief engineer and inventor, Professor Screemore!

Iron Rattler Six Flags Qiddiya City

Tilt Coasters are genuinely the most terrifying-looking rollercoasters in the world and will push even the most diehard of thrillseekers.

It looks phenomenal and I’m sure its beautiful theming will be complimented by an intense and thrilling ride experience as it races across 4,068.2ft of track.

Just one look at the trains says all you need to know about the theming and immersion that Six Flags Qiddiya City is aiming for, they’re truly breathtaking!

You can see the full train lighting up in Vekoma’s 2024 company video HERE.

Saw Mill Falls

Poesidon Europa Park
Poesidon at Europa Park For Reference

This Mack Rides water coaster will be a much-needed refreshment in the Saudi Arabian desert heat.

With a height of 73.8ft guests will be plunged into the waters below after traversing 2,575.5ft of track.

Saw Mill Falls will be a very similar designed ride to Poseidon at Europa Park which is an incredible example of prime Mack Rides engineering.

Sea Stallion

Sea Stallion Qiddiya

Sea Stallion is a Maurer single rail powered coaster where guests can control their speed throughout a 1673.2ft layout.

With how these rides are set up it’ll be really interesting to see how Six Flags Qiddiya City handle the capacity of this particular ride which has been used on cruise ships in the past but hasn’t been put through its paces in a busy theme park due to the low throughput issues.

With 2 tracks and 2 riders per row you will be racing head to head with another pair on the train next to you but even then 4 riders at once time could rack up some capacity issues. This is one ride to keep an eye on out of sheer operational capacity curiosity alone in addition to being a fun little single-rail coaster.

Spitfire

Spitfire Six Flags Qiddiya

Featuring the world’s tallest non-inverting top hat Spitfire, manufactured by Intamin is an LSM launch coaster shooting riders up to speeds of 78.9mph across a 1909.4m track layout.

The ride is set to be located in the Valley of Fortune area of the park and is another big draw for thrillseekers as anything with ‘World’s’ before it is just aching to be put through its paces by willing enthusiasts.

Six Flags Qiddiya City is a thrillseekers paradise and the line-up mentioned within this article is the perfect blend of tolerances from your younger thrillseekers up to the bravest few.

Check out the latest construction (dated September 2024) of this incredible park as you can get a glimpse of all of the upcoming coasters, flats and dark ride building construction in this wonderful trailer.
