Siren’s Curse Tilt Coaster Announced for Cedar Point

Cedar Point this morning announced the tallest, fastest and longest tilt roller coaster in North America as Vekoma added yet another tilt coaster to their worldwide line-up. Introducing the Siren’s Curse tilt coaster!

Siren's Curse Cedar Point

The park will open ‘Siren’s Curse’ in 2025 at the park as the legend and lore of mysterious creatures living beneath Lake Erie come to life.

Often spoken of – but never spotted, the sirens of the lake who lured sailors to their underwater demise with their sweet, seductive songs will finally rise to the land above Cedar Point and attempt to entrap you in a sinister two-minute fate of non-stop roller coaster innovation.

This Vekoma special will consist of a ‘broken off’ section of track which will hold riders in place as it slowly tilts the entire train into a 90-degree vertical position in one of the most terrifying and spectacular elements seen on a roller coaster.

Siren’s Curse marks a first-of-its-kind ride for Cedar Point and will be the park’s 19th roller coaster.

Speeding through s,966 feet of track at a top speed of 58 miles per hour Siren’s Curse will be located across from the Iron Dragon and near the Cedar Point Marina.

The ride will also feature 13 weightless airtime moments, two 360-degree, zero-gravity barrel rolls and a high-speed ‘triple-down’ element with twisted and overbanked turn.

A first for Cedar Point is also the fact that Siren’s Curse will feature on-board audio allowing the sound of the siren to envelop you as you escape her grasp and also a high-tech LED lighting package on the exterior of each car.
