Over the last few weeks, the Alton Towers mystery box hit the online store and they sold out very quickly indeed!
With various priced tiers offered fans swooped in and gobbled these secretive packages up in a matter of days.
From pens to candy, pin badges to trophies the mystery box was packed full of goodies.
Feeling a little disheartened missing the opportunity to get one and after my inner coaster nerd shed a tear or two the hunt began to find someone willing to part with a mystery box for me to review.
A few messages later and the day had arrived where I received a £10 Alton Towers Mystery Box and we can take a look at the contents for you today.

Here is a list of all the contents of our £10 mystery box as we discuss each item individually and see if this particular box was a bargain or not!
Bag Not Box?
So the first thing I instantly noticed was that when the ‘box’ arrived it wasn’t a box at all. It was a standard shipping bag. Sneaky, very sneaky. I was expecting a little themed printed box or similar but this Mystery BAG was here and that’s all that matters.
Vimto Super Sour Popping Candy X3
Fruit flavored popping candy and three bags of them instantly fell out of our mystery bag. This sour popping candy comes in a small 11x6cm sachet and is priced at roughly around 16 pence per bag (depending on the retailer).

Alton Towers Fireworks Beanie Hat
This fireworks edition beanie is in fact a limited edition hat. The hat still hasn’t sold out on the Alton Towers store (hence the mystery box).
Regardless it’s a very well made purple beanie. The beanie retails for £8 on the Alton Towers website so a good 80% of our Mystery bag price is in this one item right here.
Fireworks 2019 Pin Badge
This throwback pin is nowhere to be seen on the Alton Towers store. A rare one indeed.
But with pins usually selling for £2.50 at Alton Towers we’re doing well!
Thunder Looper Pin Badge
A commemorative pin celebrating the life of the classic coaster Thunder Looper at Alton Towers. Once again another item not available on the Alton Towers store we’ll put the price down for this one at £2.50
Wicker Man Wooden Magnet
This Wicker Man Wooden magnet is made of extremely thin wood indeed but it certainly looks great! Priced at £5 on the Alton Towers store I can feed the flames for a fraction of the price.

I certainly think the Alton Towers mystery box is great value even if the items included aren’t items you’d necessarily go out of your way to buy.
Mystery Boxes are just a good way of companies being able to clear some stock. It certainly looks as thou this is the case here but as a theme park enthusiast, any item celebrating the park is a great addition for anyone’s collection.
It would have been nice to have more modern exclusive items included. Even a Gangsta Granny: The Ride pin badge or early exclusive item would have been cool to have.
For someone who isn’t as passionate about the theme park then well, it’s mostly stuff you wouldn’t enjoy but hey, you still get a cool beanie out of it!
