AromaPrime Launch Theme Park Fan Collection Scents

The UK’s leading scent designers AromaPrime have launched a Theme Park Fan Collection and it’s incredible.

Have you ever gone to a theme park during Halloween and picked up a whiff of something truly awful?

That was AromaPrime and it wasn’t their staff members either!

AromaPrime is responsible for providing some of the UK’s leading attractions with scents. Each of these scents is used in a variety of weird and wonderful ways.

For those of you familiar with Alton Towers and the beautiful Wicker Man wooden coaster at the park during the pre-show, you’re standing in a giant wicker basket watching a story unfold.

As the flames rage inside the Wicker Man, a woodsmoke scent is pumped into the area and you exit the pre-show and queue for the ride train.

Wicker Man Ride 2020 Alton Towers

For many months a group of theme park enthusiasts (myself included) have been begging AromaPrime to tell us what scents are used for particular theme park attractions across the country.

Very secretive in their approach (as to not drop names or infringe any copyrights I’m sure) they’ve finally caved. Not really, they actually struck a deal with Thorpe Park to release their Fright Nights collection of scents.

At this moment in time with the current ongoing pandemic causing UK parks up and down to the country to close I couldn’t think of a better time to relive some of those theme park memories. A place where memories are shared and even the smallest thing like a scent can take you straight back to that very time and place.

Four scents that give the fans a chance to relive some of those spooky memories but they are a part of the attraction that you can own for yourselves. Put one of these fragrances next to a ride part or a piece of memorabilia from that particular maze or ride and you’re good to go!

In addition to the four scents from Thorpe Park specifically, two more have been added to the list. Their descriptions are a little vaguer due to AromaPrime not being able to name any names but we’ll tell you where they’re from don’t worry!

Below are the four scents currently on offer from AromaPrime.

Containment

There’s nothing quite like the stench of medicine and unsettling equipment with this rather medical smell.

Creek Freak Massacre

Voted the best maze BY YOU in our poll for Thorpe Park Fright Nights 2019 this Creek Freak Massacre scent mixes blood, rusty metal and raw flesh combined.

Fright Nights Cinema

Taking a more soothing tone is the fresh smell of delicious popcorn. So innocent until you’re inside Thorpe Park’s little theatre of horrors.

Platform 15

All aboard as this smoky, engrossing scent lures you into a false sense of security.

AromaPrime offers a variety of bottles for scent dispensers but for the Thorpe Park collection, we suggest purchasing Aroma Cubes. Four little cubes that are portable and easily displayed.

Access your glorious (or not so glorious in some cases) smells whenever you like.

Purchase all 4 Thorpe Park smells for £22.99 with First Class postage of £1.99 added on.

Musty

This mouldy, damp, decaying smell is the familiar smell of the Alton Towers Dungeons. The scent is also used for a variety of other attractions and a scare maze at Alton Towers Scarefest.

Can you guess which one?

Woodsmoke

A small that will forever linger on my clothes long after I come home from the park. Woodsmoke is the elusive and now infamous smell of Wicker Man at Alton Towers.

I’m sure it’s only a matter of time before the T’s are crossed and the i’s are dotted before we see the official theme parks name/attractions name next to the two scents above.

Hopefully, this is the start of many more theme park scents to be made available to the public.

It would be great to see these fragrances in theme park shops. I’m sure enthusiasts would absolutely love them!
