Changes Asian Kitchen Review

The doors have been opened at Changes Asian Kitchen based in Trentham Shopping Village. A brand new restaurant where guests can explore the flavours of the Orient. Here’s our Changes Asian Kitchen review.

The place itself is very cosy, tucked within one of the many wooden huts that pave the streets at Trentham Shopping Village. On a beautiful sunny day the doors to the establishment were wide open and the interior felt very welcoming. We were greeted by Lee who owns the venue and we took our seats. Instantly the place felt very homely.

Menu

With a variety of food dishes of Chinese, Japanese, Taiwan, Thai and Korean descent there’s quite a nice selection to choose from. What caught my eye before I even sat down was a sushi selection that was being delivered to a table. It looked absolutely delicious. My mind was already made up before I even sat down.

We were given the menu and were asked to write down our order which was processed accordingly. There were no ciders on the menu much to my disappointment so I opted for a Singha beer. A nice chilled beer on a warm day certainly went down a treat.

I’d love to see more dishes added to the menu over time but the selection currently on offer is more than enough!

The Sushi Arrives

Changes Asian Kitchen Sushi

Changes Asian Kitchen is said to pride their food on freshness and quality and that statement couldn’t ring more true. My Mixed Japanese dish came with 9 pieces of succulent sushi. The sushi was accompanied with a side of wasabi and pickled ginger to cleanse my pallet.

It’s certainly one of the nicest plates (slate in this case) of sushi I’ve ever had and the soy sauce dip all but added to that immensely fresh taste.

A fork and spoon were provided but if you’re feeling brave you can try your hand at a pair of chopsticks.

The prawn was exceptionally delicious!

With it being busy we were given some complimentary drinks to pass the time (thanks Lee). This was a really nice touch. From the moment you enter until the moment you leave there’s a real family togetherness about the place. Many customers were expressing just how nice the food was every time they went to pay at the counter.

For a business that has only just opened, there was no aura of stress or other emotions that come with a recently opened establishment. Here we have an operation that has hit the ground running and feels like it’s running like clockwork the moment the doors opened to the public.

Overall

Lee and his wife Sue-Fang have made Changes Asian Kitchen a home away from home. With subtle winks and nods to Asian culture dotted around the building to the tastebud exploding range of food on offer, what a wonderful little addition to Trentham Shopping Village this place really is.
