Disney Magic Oceanview Stateroom With Verandah Review

Disney Magic Oceanview Room

As part of my latest Disney Magic at Sea UK Staycation cruise here’s my Disney Magic Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah review!

Other than splashing the cash for a concierge stateroom and enjoying lots of space the other staterooms in the Disney Magic range have always felt a bit cramped to me.

Granted this was from watching other peoples videos but when I walked into our very own Disney Magic Oceanview Stateroom my assumption was proved correct.

But whilst the space is limited (especially around the bed) there’s more than enough for two people. Fitting a family in here, however, would be a little hectic to say the least but as far as cruise lines go Disney has some of (if not the) biggest rooms.

Being a first-time cruiser I had absolutely no idea about this fact but I was glad I was on a Disney ship and not anything smaller in terms of room size!

The Oceanview rooms on the Disney Magic Cruise Line can sleep 3 to 4 people with a sofa bed and an upper-berth pull-down bed being key features of the room but it would be cramped to say the least.

Around 246 square feet in size including the verandah the room is very cosy and the queen bed certainly takes up a large proportion of that space.

Take nothing away from the limited space though, the rooms are absolutely beautiful.

Quite oldy worldy in their design there’s a clean sleek look around the room accompanied by some hidden Mickey’s on some wonderful decoration pieces.

There’s plenty of closet space, a refrigerator, full-length mirror, climate control, H20 products in the bathroom. It’s all very lovely indeed.

The TV plays a whole host of Disney programming including in-ship entertainment along with some classic Disney movies and shows.

If that’s not your thing you’re quite limited in what else you can watch but I found BBC and some sports channels when flicking through.

The bed is very comfy but the sofa bed was the absolute opposite. Thankfully the pillows were very cosy and the ‘split bath’ came in handy.

One side of the bathroom contains a toilet and sink whilst the other side contains a bath and shower.

Forget lying down in the bath though however as it’s about the size of a small rubber dingy!

It seemed a bit pointless to even have a bath in there that you can’t lie down in unless you’re a kid.

The verandah provided some beautiful views of the ocean along our trip and of the sunny London Tilbury docks before we set sail.

Sadly the British weather had other plans when we set sail and we didn’t use the Verandah for the remainder of the trip but it’s well worth upgrading if you’re cruising to somewhere sunny.

We received the Verandah room as part of a free upgrade from our Oceanview room and I’d highly recommend it!
