Introducing Mission Ferrari a brand new Dynamic Attractions roller coaster that has opened at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi this month and we were lucky enough to go and ride it during its first month of opening.
Mission Ferrari joins Ferrari World Abu Dhabi’s unique lineup of attractions which have long taken guests on exhilarating experiences for over a decade.
Equipped with the latest advancements in the industry, the themed next-generation mega-coaster promises passengers an unforgettable ride featuring stunning visuals and an immersive environment like no other. Mission Ferrari includes the world’s first sideways drop and is the world’s first SFX coaster from manufacturers Dynamic Attractions.
Mission Ferrari revolves around a top-secret international spy headquarters where guests become part of the stealth mission to safely deliver a high-spec Ferrari spy car, commissioned especially for agent Cavallino, to a rendezvous deep within the subterranean level of the Ferrari Factory in Maranello Italy.
Mission Ferrari Review

With a beautifully detailed facade, you enter a spy lab complete with screens, a projection-mapped Ferrari spy car and an animatronic along with screens and more to keep you occupied as this one room is the entire queue line before you approach some steps after the winding queue line fencing and board the ride.
The seats on board the wonderfully designed Ferrari trains are comfy and there is plenty of legroom in the front four seats, the back row of seats (5 seats) is a little tighter but comfy all the same.
Take a ride on Mission Ferrari with this POV below:
The on-board audio throughout the ride is such a nice touch and this certainly comes into play when the mission is being relayed to you from a comms team and has even more of an impact when you accelerate away from people hunting you down and launch out of the show building with a roaring Ferrari engine blasting you forward.
Mission Ferrari combines elements of some of the world’s best interactive roller coasters with screens, physical set pieces, animatronics, a backwards section, an indoor inversion and even an interactive track section that is unlike anything I’ve witnessed before.
Your train enters a dome much like the one you’d seen inside a flying theatre and suddenly your train and the track it’s on completely changes in terms of its movements and what happens next.

It’s hard to explain without spoiling it too much but it’s an absolutely wonderful addition to the ride and further adds to the spectacle.
It’s fun for all the family but if there’s a negative for me it would be the ‘world’s first sideways drop’ which is basically just the world’s first sideways slide as you casually slide down rails after an immersive set piece scene plays out in front of you but the slide is just a little tame and it sounded very rough and rattly, the transition into the slide was smooth but the actual slide formed the roughest part of the ride before you exit into yet another themed section to end the ride.
Mission Ferrari is a ride that lasts 5 minutes, it’s a journey and an experience and the only negatives for me were that sideways drop and the backwards section which had little to no theming which was a shame considering the standard set during the rest of the layout.
It’s unique, it’s fun and it’s incredibly immersive and perfectly fits the aesthetic of the park and you really feel like you’re on a mission and the audio and visuals drag you into the story for something rather special indeed.
