Blackpool Pleasure Beach sell a whole range of their parks most infamous rides in model format and they’ve sent us a 3D ride model to review!
Based on the The Wild Mouse roller coaster at Blackpool Pleasure Beach this 3D model is affordable for a hand crafted and finished model.
Opening in 1958 it was only one of only four remaining wooden Wild Mouse coasters left in the world.
In 2017 the ride was taken down. The Wild Mouse was known as one of the finest and most extreme example of a Wild Mouse coaster notoriously known for being rough.

The level of detail on this piece is rather nice.
The 3D train comes on a red-track display and the model is a great display piece.
Being the simpler model in this 3D ride range the price-point reflects that.
With a more expensive model maybe a custom wooden style track would have made a better display but the red-track certainly pops with the white ride train.
The only thing I didn’t like on the model was the transparent sticker on the front of the train labelled Jerry. This felt a bit cheap in comparison to the rest of the model.

At a reasonable £30 it’s certainly more obtainable than its rather expensive counterparts currently priced at £80 at the time of writing this article.
Taking 10 hours to print and 30 minutes to assemble the model comes with a certificate of authenticity.
I love the fact that a theme park has little 3D models of its rides. Other than ride resins these are highly collectible items for the ultimate enthusiast.
A very cool little nostalgic item indeed and with Blackpool Pleasure Beach selling pieces of the wood foundations that made up the ride you could combine the two together for one hell of a display!

The 3D models are available in a variety of colours. If you’re feeling flush you can buy all four in a set for £120.
I feel the full set should be slightly discounted if you’re buying all four.

Thank you to Blackpool Pleasure Beach for sending me this to review in addition to some scrumptious Funshine shortbreads.
