This March, the UK’s oldest amusement park, Blackgang Chine, will launch its first- ever 360-degree rotation ride. Extinction launches on Saturday 25 March 2023 with a press preview week taking place from Monday 13 March 2023.
The Blackgang Chine Extinction ride will be a Zamperla Frisbee swing ride similar to the one located at Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach. The ride will reach a height of 18M almost doubling the height of the famous Blackgang Smuggler and equal to four double-decker buses.
But that’s not all, the ride will be located just set-back slightly from the Isle of Wight’s cliff-edge with insane views across the Channel which they can enjoy facing upwards or upside down.
Before long, riders will find themselves upside down, full of anticipation, before being thrown forward to complete a full 360-degree vertical rotation. Oh, and did we mention this is all on a cliffside which makes you feel like you’re about to land in the Sea?
